I gotta say, for the longest time, the only things I knew about Neil Gaiman were that he was Tori Amos’s good friend and the (fairy) godfather to Tash, Amos’s daughter.
Then the movie Coraline came out and it became one of my favorite films of all time. I read the graphic novel and liked the movie better than the book, the same thing happened with Devil Wears Prada and Witches of Eastwick. Although in the case of Lauren Weisberger’s Devil Wears Prada, the book itself feels very second-draft with too many loose ends for a supposed work of fiction while John Updike’s Witches of Eastwick is just too misogynistic and homophobic for my taste.
American Gods is kind of the same way.
Anyway, these were taken from the “Shadows” series that was published by Dark Horse Comics in October 2017.
