Besides, Aubrey has tainted the space when he came in the bedroom, and even laid on the bed, with his boots on. As he grabs his duffel bag, Chrissy locks eyes with Matt, who's sobbing and choking on his breath, unable to say or do anything, except to plead with his eyes. Chrissy wants to hug him, to tell him he'd be okay. They'd be okay. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday. Somehow. But now? Now he needs to get the hell out.
