Dollsexposed is proud to take part in the art exhibition at the 2023 LA Leather Getaway, brought by the fetish organization CLAW and sponsored by the Tom of Finland Foundation.
The getaway is held at The Westin Bonaventura Hotel & Suites in downtown Los Angeles from November 23 to 26, 2023.
I know, I know. I’ve preached on and on about being plant-based, yet here we are. I may be vegetarian and not wear leather or anything made of animals, but I have the utmost respect for the leather community. They’re some of the most open-minded, sex-positive, and kink-positive people I know and I was ecstatic that my submissions were accepted to the art show. Besides, the title of the event may only say “leather” but it’s used as a catchall for a whole umbrella of kinks that include pup/pet play.
Plus, I think this is an excellent opportunity to introduce doll photography to the general art community.
The first two that Matt is holding (“Trampled” and “Boots with the Spurs”) are from the Trampled series. These are a part of my 2022 Tom of Finland tribute.
This third one (“Puppy Love”) was specifically made for the art show. It went on to inspire the “Folsom Fair Fun” and “Cruisin’ & Pimpin'” posts.
And this fourth one (“Two Bikers & a Slut”) is from the post “Two Bikers Tag-Team a Nasty Slut.”
An exclusive, framed copy of each photo is available for sale at the art show. They’re twelve by twelve because, well, these are twelve-inch dolls. Teehee.
Although there was no submission fee, each artist had to donate an item for the organization’s fundraising silent auction. I decided to donate a custom Tom of Finland Rebel doll.
