Tom of Finland’s Death Anniversary Week Celebration, November 7 – 13, 2022 @dollphotostudio

The fourth offering on our Tom of Finland’s Death Anniversary Week celebration is inspired by Tom’s 1962 work. The piece shows three men in white briefs and black boots, wearing black gauntlets and black Sam Browne belts.

This is the perfect piece to showcase the sixth-scale (Barbie size or around 12 inches) figures I use for this project and the majority of my work on Instagram.

The bodies are from a China-based company called Phicen. It also goes by the name The Body League or TBLeague.

Gar has a Phicen M35 body, Manuel is on a Phicen M34, and Sven is on a Phicen M33.

These bodies came out sometime between 2017 and 2018. They can look quite realistic with the right angle, lighting, poses, and accessories.

The head sculpts were bought separately, and depending on their rarity, their price could be exorbitant. Chrissy’s head (the one with the pink hair from posts such as “The Leather David”) is a modified original head of Chris Redfield (from the video game Resident Evil). He was manufactured by another toy company called Hot Toys. His original head sculpt alone could fetch more than $100 on eBay.

Phicen produces male and female bodies in both sixth and twelfth scales. Unfortunately, the female bodies are only available in light skin tones and there’s only one male body (M36) in Black skin tone.

Phicen’s figures are close to being perfect that the only modification I’ve done on them are adding the nipples. However, since the outer layer is made of silicone instead of hard plastic, it grabs on fabric, making it difficult to put clothes on them.

Then again, if I looked like that, I’d always be naked.
