I’ve been waiting to publish these Anne Rice’s comics but I was sort of holding back because there’s no full-frontal nudity. However, I’ve featured naked butts (Spock’s and Stephen Colbert’s) on Nerdcore before. And since I’m big on alliteration, I’m doing August Anne. So, for the whole month of August 2024, I’ll be posting the comic adaptations of Anne Rice’s works.
First up is the super, super, super gay Interview with the Vampire.
The blurb:
Set in present-day San Francisco, a young journalist interviews a vampire in a hotel room, and learns the story of a man named Louis who wanted to die, but lacked the courage to do it himself — until his open invitation to attack was answered by the vampire Lestat
Original title: Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire
Writers: Anne Rice (novelist), Cynthy J. Wood (adaptor), Faye Perozich (adaptor)
Artists: Joseph Phillips, Chris Moeller
Letterers: Vickie Williams, Susan Dorne
Publisher: Innovative Corporation (English/1991-1994)
